GrowPetz Retractable Leash

I was recently given the oppurtunity to review the GrowPetz Retractable Leash in exchange for my honest feed back. I know not everyone is a fan of these typs of leashes but I love them. My Pug Olivia uses one every day to go out side to do her business. Where I live I have a very large unfenced in yard. Olivia does not like to be near anyone when doing her business. The retractable leash allows me to give her room to do her business and explore and yet not be in any danger of getting into the road. It gives her 13 ft of room to run in any direction when the lock mechanism is not in the lock position. She is very good about knowing how far she can go and not pulling on the leash when she gets away from me some. Whereas with a normal leash she was always pulling to get more distance between us especially when it was time to get down to business. This leash allows me to also lock down a shorter lead when I am walking her somewhere and do not want her to be able to get that far away from me. The GrowPetz retractable leash is a very lovely blue with a reflective neon ribbon for the lead. It helps at night if we are near the road and car lights shine on the lead it reflectives off allowing the driver to know there is something there.

The Growpetz Retractable Leash fits comfortably in my hand. It weighs about 8 ounces and is about 6 inches in length. The lock button on top allows for a smooth one push lock and release motion. The handle is light yet durable. Durable is a key word in my house as I have already sent a few less durable retractable leashes to the trash can because of my butterfingers and dropping them. I have only had this leash a few days and already managed to drop it at least twice and it still works great.
